Jackie Christie, a Seattle, WA, native is a model, actress, fashion designer, author and mother of three, her mission/purpose in life is to help others.

Growing up in a family of nine siblings taught her at an early age about sharing and giving. She is known by many, to be a beacon of light. Jackie finds her joy in life by spending time with her loving family, and helping others. Jackie has often said helping to put a smile on someone's face means the world to her.

Jackie met and married her husband Doug in 1996. Jackie along with her husband, is the co founder of the successful record label, Jean Rah Fya records. Home to some of the hottest new talent in the business. The label's roster includes new teen sensation Chani as well as R&B heart throb Bobby Tinsley, and the dynamic teen singing group Small Change, to name a few.

The dynamic NBA power couple also wrote a best selling book together titled No Ordinary Love! A true story of marriage and basketball', and has a hit reality tv show on BETJ titled the Christie's Committed.

Born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Doug understood the meaning of “hard work” at an early age. Having grown up in the Northwest, his parents working long hours, Doug became what is often referred to as a “latch key” kid. Enjoying his childhood, Doug developed a passion for giving back early on.

Already an athletic child, it was when he was introduced to organized basketball that he realized this game would shape his life.

A student at Rainer Beach High School in Seattle, Doug focused on sharpening his skills as a basketball player. These skills afforded Doug the opportunity to attend college at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California where he caught the attention of NBA executives.

In 1992, the same year he met Jackie, he became the 17th pick in the NBA draft and was drafted by the Seattle Supersonics. Now, a 14 year NBA veteran, Doug has donated helped and inspired thousands of people young and old across the nation, using his success to bring joy to children's faces each year along with his wife they buy truckloads of toy's and books for the children's hospital during the holidays. During his impressive career Doug played for the LA Lakers, N.Y. Knicks, Toronto Raptors, Sacramento Kings, Orlando Magic, Dallas Mavericks and most recently, the LA Clippers.

# Vets constitute 40% of the homeless population.
# 1 in every 5 homeless persons has a severe or persistent mental illness.
# 25% of the homeless nationwide are employed.

Child Abuse Statistics in the USA

* An estimated 906,000 children are victims of abuse & neglect every year. The rate of victimization is 12.3 children per 1,000 children
* Children ages 0-3 are the most likely to experience abuse. About 1 in 50 U.S. infants are victims of nonfatal child abuse or neglect in a year, according to the first national study of the problem in that age group done by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention along with The Federal Administration for Children and Families.
* 1,500 children die every year from child abuse and neglect. That is just over 4 fatalities every day.
* 79% of the children killed are younger than 4.
